Etan Cohen is in the final stages of his doctoral studies in the educational technologies track at Haifa University, and also works as a facilitator for the Be'eri program at the Shalom Hartman Institute. Drawing on the work on his advisers -- Prof. Dani Ben-Zvi and Dr. Yotam Hod -- Etan's research is situated on the seam between Jewish education and the learning sciences, and is intended to introduce innovative pedagogies and learning technologies to advance the goals of Jewish education in public schools in Israel. More specifically, his work is focused on how learning communities can mediate the construction of pluralistic Jewish identities, and how knowledge and identity can be co-constructed in innovative learning environments.
